daphne's hardly shifted human since it happened

i don't know how to help her except to just be with her

and it's kind of
something like this happened to me right before i came here
so when i say i know exactly how she's feeling, i mean it. and i still don't know how to help.

Just being there is how you help, Gar. It's the only thing that's helped. It was incredibly brave.

You shouldn't have to be there alone, but until she's human again I don't think you should risk letting other interactions set her off. For her sake as much as anyone's.

well you know my older, greener, cooler other half. i figured you already knew the important stuff

Not cooler, definitely not after today.

But I wasn't asking for your life story, I'm just still not sure you've really told me how you are.

it just brought up a lot of stuff that's hard for me

plus like four people died that i couldn't save including the doctor who's been trying to help me with that stuff since i got here.

It's a lot harder to count all the people you saved when there's even one you didn't. I know. But they do still count.

How about if I bring that pizza over myself. Sit at the end of the hall for a while.

Lucky for me, tigers still can't fly. At least until you figure wings out.

I'm fine. Barely broke skin. But I have a few people close to me coping with losses right now, and I'm worried how the big cat's going to cope when she's back to herself.

i'm worried about what to tell people. or what'll happen to her if they find out. she's not in a place where i can even ask her what she wants to do yet, she's still a tiger more than half of the time

and then there's the part about, what if this happens again? that's what kyle was trying to figure out with me, like what if that switch flips again. how do we stop it? what happens if someone tries to lock her away for this?

You don't tell people. That's something we need to let her decide.

And some people won't take it well. But while we're in this city any one of us could lose control that way. There's understanding for that, too. Kyle could flip as easily as you. So could I. And people more dangerous than any of us.

No one's locking her away. She doesn't need a cage, she needs a failsafe if it happens again.

i know that, but she's the one this happened to. no one's gonna care that it could happen to anyone when it already happened to her so publicly. i don't think she'd even told many people what she is

after what that guy jon said? people are gonna be looking for her.

It's smart to prepare for something to happen, but not to worry yourself into the ground over it. I haven't heard about people wanting revenge, and I know some of the ones you'd expect to be looking for it. You'll find more understanding here than you'd expect.

But if anyone does turn up, you call both of us.

i hope that you're right. i think id be less worried if she wasn't still in tiger form so often.

You've got two Graysons, may as well use them.

We've all got our coping strategies. Just try to talk to her, when she's human, you might be able to keep her with you.
